RF CONTROLLED FIRE FIGHTING ROBOT WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER SPRINKLER

RF CONTROLLED FIRE FIGHTING ROBOT WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER SPRINKLER

ABSTRACT:

Path Finder was sent to Mars in 1998. This was a great achievement which detected the secrets of “Mars”. This robot is a RF controlled robot. This can be moved forward and reverse direction using geared motors of 60RPM. Also this robot can take sharp turnings towards left and right directions. This project uses AT89S52 MCU as its controller. This Robot is also used as a fire extinguisher i.e. it sprinkles the water on to the fire in case of fire accidents.

When the robot is moving on a surface, if any fire accident occurs the sensor senses and automatically the motor gets switched on which in turn switches on the water sprinkler (pump).

This project uses 9V battery. This project is much useful for mines detection and surveillance applications and also in fire factories and industries.

RF Controlled Metal Detecting Robot with Remote Voice and Image Transmission to assist Bomb Detection and Rescue Team

RF Controlled Metal Detecting Robot with Remote Voice and Image Transmission to assist Bomb Detection and Rescue Team

ABSTRACT:

Path Finder was sent to Mars in 1998. This was a great achievement which detected the secrets of “Mars”. This project deals with RF controlled robot. This robot is prototype for the “Path Finder”.

This robot is controlled by a RF remote. This can be moved forward and reverse direction using geared motors of 60RPM. Also this robot can take sharp turnings towards left and right directions. This project uses AT89S52 MCU as its controller. A high sensitive induction type metal detector is designed using colpitts oscillator principle and fixed to this robot. Also a wireless camera with voice is interfaced to the kit.

When the robot is moving on a surface, the system produces a beep sound when metal is detected. This beep sound will be transmitted to remote place. Simultaneously the images around the robot will be transmitted to remote place. User can monitor the images and metal detection alarms on Television.

The RF modules used here are STT-433 MHz Transmitter, STR-433 MHz Receiver, HT12E RF Encoder and HT12D RF Decoder. The three switches are interfaced to the RF transmitter through RF Encoder. The encoder continuously reads the status of the switches, passes the data to the RF transmitter and the transmitter transmits the data.

This project uses 9V battery. This project is much useful for mines detection and surveillance applications.

Remote Controlled Submersible Pump Circuit

Remote Controlled Submersible Pump Circuit

The article discusses a simple remote controlled submersible pump circuit which could be simply configured using any standard 2 channel 433MHz remote control modules. The idea was requested by Mr. James Smith

 The Request

Hi swagatam , I have read a lot of your post and have implemented them several time.

Now I want a design for switching my submersible single phase motor on and off via remote control.

On the starter there a push button for on and push button for off.

The push button is pushed only for 2 seconds and released and the motor is ON.

The same for stop. The push button is pushed for 2 seconds and the motor is OFF.

Pls help me in doing this as we are having trouble going up and down the staircase from 7 floor to ground floor to just ON and OFF the submersible motor.

If the circuit is ready, I will just connect it to the push buttons.?

James Smith

The Design

We have already witnessed the basic triggering concept of a submersible pump using an automatic "start" and "stop" implementation of the pump contactor switches.

In this remote controlled submersible pump circuit also we follow a similar concept but instead of water sensors, here we do it using a remote controlled modules and subsequent momentary relays switching for initiating the relevant start stop buttons.

For this we can employ a two channel 433 MHz RF remote control modules, which are extremely accurate with their working.

I would recommend buying this unit instead of building one, because these are quite cheap and are easily accessible through online electronic stores.

However if you are interested to make it, you could try it out by procuring the recommended chips for these remote controlled modules which are also available through all standard online electronic retailer.

If you purchase the units readymade, then its just about configuring the relay contacts with the submersible start, and stop buttons, as shown below.

To be precise, its the N/O and the pole of the relays which needs to be connected across the submersible buttons.

For identifying the relay contacts of the remote receiver unit one may take the help of one my earlier pasts which explained how to understand and use relays in circuits.

However since the contactor start stop buttons could be specified to work with high switching current, these may require special high current relay driver stages for the individual buttons.

Therefore the triggering supply from the remote receiver relays needs to be further integrated with the above mentioned high power relay driver stages as demonstrated in the following figure:

Remote Controlled Submersible Pump Circuit

The relay driver stages shown at the right side of the diagram is made by configuring transistor relay drivers with the respective high power relays.

The bases of the transistors can be seen connected with series high value capacitors, this is to ensure that the relays remain activated only for a couple of seconds, regardless of the switching periods of the remote control modules relays, or regardless of how long the user keeps the remote transmitter handset button pressed.

The shown remote control receiver module consisting of the receiver circuitry and the two relays will need 12V supply from an appropriate DC source, such as a 12V AC DC adapter.

This 12V further needs to be configured with the relay contacts and the relay driver stages also, for enabling the intended remote controlled start/stop switching of the submersible ON/OFF buttons.

RF CONTROLLED ROBOTIC BOAT TO TRAVEL IN WATER

RF CONTROLLED ROBOTIC BOAT TO TRAVEL IN WATER

ABSTRACT:

This project is a prototype boat that can travel in water. This robot is powered by 9V rechargeable battery. The direction of the robot can be controlled by an RF remote. This can be moved forward and reverse direction using geared motors of 60RPM. Also this robot can take sharp turnings towards left and right directions. This project uses AT89S52 MCU as its controller. A high sensitive wireless camera with voice is interfaced to the kit.

When the robot is moving on water surface, the system transmits images and voice signals around the robot to television at a remote place. User can monitor the images and voice signals on Television.

The RF modules used here are STT-433 MHz Transmitter, STR-433 MHz Receiver, HT12E RF Encoder and HT12D RF Decoder. The three switches are interfaced to the RF transmitter through RF Encoder. TRIAC BASED SOUND SCANNER FOR AUDIO CONTROLLED LOADS

TRIAC BASED SOUND SCANNER FOR AUDIO CONTROLLED LOADS

ABSTRACT:

Now a days in many discotheques we find people dancing to the music which is common, trying for a difference we designed our project in such a way that the lights flicker according to the music. In this way, we can provide some more entertainment and attraction to the area where it is installed.

Some mains operated audio controlled light can be used in discotheques. The lamps glow in a running sequence as per the sound generated. When music is played, the lights start ‘running’ through the lamps. Ten AC lamps are connected to the circuit. Only one lamp glows at a time when there is no sound/music.

In this circuit a condenser mic is used which converts audio signals to electrical signals. These electrical signals from the microphone are fed to the transistor which amplifies the microphone signals and also provides clock pulses to the decade counter IC1 CD4017.A preset is provided to vary the signal level. As the decade counter has a total of ten counts, the pin corresponding to tenth count is connected to reset pin of IC1. One of the outputs of IC1 is fed to the clock pin of IC2 CD4017. The outputs of IC2 CD4017 drive transistors to provide triggering pulses to triacs.

The triac we are using is BT136, which is a 3-terminal device. In this triac, the first two pins are the terminal1 and terminal 2 and the third pin is the gate terminal. In this circuit, the triacs drive the AC lamps. In a triac when gate terminal is triggered then the triac turns ON which in turn powers up the load. Hence now we can see the lights running with the sound of music.

SERVO CONTROLLED VOLTAGE STABILIZER WITH AUTOMATIC HIGHER AND LOWER CUT OFF

SERVO CONTROLLED VOLTAGE STABILIZER WITH AUTOMATIC HIGHER AND LOWER CUT OFF

ABSTRACT:

This is a stabilizer which constantly monitors the output voltage and controls the variations in the input voltage by movements of a motor. This motor in turn selects the proper output voltage on the variable transformer (variac). This is probably the cheapest power-conditioning product available. It gives reasonably good voltage regulation and is all right where voltage fluctuations are not considerable. However it is not advisable to use it outside big cities where apart from considerable fluctuations in voltage, the power is full of frequency drifts, failures, noise and spikes.

Use of Servo Stabilizer is the only way to control erratic supply voltage conditions. Servo Stabilizer can control all types of loads i.e. inductive, resistive, capacitive loads. Other voltage stabilizers viz. Constant Voltage Transformers or Static Voltage Stabilizers cannot be used in such applications. Servo Stabilizers are available from 1 KVA 1 ph. to 250 KVA 1 ph and 3 KVA 3 ph to 2000 KVA 3 ph. 3 ph. Servo Stabilizers can be for balanced or for unbalanced input voltages. Servo Stabilizer has four major components

  • Driver Unit

  • Motorized variable voltage auto transformer

  • Double-wound Buck Boost / Series transformer

  • Servo controlled sensing card (PCB)

After determining Input voltage band and load of customer we design our servo stabilizer to take care of the minimum and maximum voltage fluctuations. While ordering servo stabilizer care should be taken to ensure that servo stabilizer capacity is 20% more than maximum load. In servo stabilizer determine output is determined voltage and the same is set by means of servo controlled sensing card (PCB). Whenever change in output voltage which occurs due to change in Input voltage, the servo controlled sensing card (PCB) gives signal to the motor fitted on variable voltage auto transformer to either increase or decrease the output voltage to achieve the predetermined output voltage.
