ReMarketing and Affinity Lists for Increased Relevance and Sales

To create your remarketing campaign, follow these ten steps:

1. Sign in to your AdWords account.
2. Click the Campaign tab at the center of your AdWords user interface screen.
3. Click the red + Campaigns button.
   1. From the drop-down menu, select “Display Network only.” (assuming you don’t want an RLSA campaign)
4. Select the “Remarketing” radio button.
5. Enter a campaign name, bid strategy, and budget.
6. Click the Set up remarketing button. You’ll go through the guided process to set up your remarketing tag and create your lists:
7. Next, AdWords will create the remarketing tag for you. You’ll be able to email the tag to yourself or your webmaster or your client, along with instructions on how to add it to each page of your website. Note that If you use Google Analytics, you will see a checkbox to use the tracking code that’s already on your site instead.
8. You will see that AdWords has automatically created an “All Visitors” list to get you started, so you don’t need to create this list yourself. The “All Visitors” list includes everyone who has visited any tagged pages on your website. You can later create new lists for your different groups of site visitors (I will discuss this later in this article). Click Return to campaign.
9. Click Save and continue.
10. Just like other campaigns, enter the ad group name and a bid that you feel will be competitive.

So how do you create RLSA or Display Audience Lists?

1. Within AdWords when creating a remarketing campaign you will 1^st create an audience list and when you create that list you will be given some javascript tagging code. You will place that code on every single page of your site.
   1. To set up an audience list you will simply go to Share library > Audiences > Create a remarketing list. This step automatically creates the main remarketing list which captures all of your visitors. You can then create as many lists as you want based on the sections of your website which people visit. The cool thing is that there is no need to add a separate tag for each list; one tag will segment all of the lists used.
2. Create Multiple Lists Focusing on general (all) visitors, recent shoppers who purchased and, those who abandon the shopping cart.
3. As a rule of thumb use 35% – 40% of the entire SEM budget on remarketing.
4. Keep all targeting options turned off because you want your special offer remarketing ads to follow your visitors EVERYWHERE they go for a time period from 30 to 540 days.

RF Controlled Metal Detecting Robot with Remote Voice and Image Transmission to assist Bomb Detection and Rescue Team

ABSTRACT:

                     Path Finder was sent to Mars in 1998. This was a great achievement which detected the secrets of “Mars”. This project deals with RF controlled robot. This robot is prototype for the “Path Finder”.

This robot is controlled by a RF remote. This can be moved forward and reverse direction using geared motors of 60RPM. Also this robot can take sharp turnings towards left and right directions. This project uses AT89S52 MCU as its controller. A high sensitive induction type metal detector is designed using colpitts oscillator principle and fixed to this robot. Also a wireless camera with voice is interfaced to the kit.

When the robot is moving on a surface, the system produces a beep sound when metal is detected. This beep sound will be transmitted to remote place. Simultaneously the images around the robot will be transmitted to remote place. User can monitor the images and metal detection alarms on Television.

The RF modules used here are STT-433 MHz Transmitter, STR-433 MHz Receiver, HT12E RF Encoder and HT12D RF Decoder. The three switches are interfaced to the RF transmitter through RF Encoder. The encoder continuously reads the status of the switches, passes the data to the RF transmitter and the transmitter transmits the data.

           

This project uses 9V battery. This project is much useful for mines detection and surveillance applications.

Updated SDK Tools and ADT revision 17

Today we are releasing an update to the SDK Tools and the Eclipse plugin. Revision 17 brings a lot of new features and bug fixes in various areas such as Lint, the build system as well as the emulator.

Lint is a static checker which analyzes Android projects for a variety of issues around correctness, security, performance, usability and accessibility, checking your XML resources, bitmaps, ProGuard configuration files, source files and even compiled bytecode. It can be run from within Eclipse or from the command line.
New for r17:

• Added check for Android API calls that require a version of Android higher than the minimum supported version. You can use the new @TargetApi annotation to specify local overrides for conditionally loaded code. For more information, read here.
• Added over 40 new Lint rules for a total of over 80, including checks for performance, XML layouts, manifest and file handling. For a full list read here.
• Added ability to suppress Lint warnings in Java code with the new @SuppressLint annotation, and in XML files with the new tools: namespace prefix and ignore attribute. For more information, read here.
• Improved HTML and XML reporting and Eclipse integration. For more information, read here.

We’ve also made improvements to the build systems for Eclipse and Ant:

• Added strict dependency support for 3rd party Jar files. You can read more information here.
• Added support for custom views with custom attributes in libraries. Layouts using custom attributes must use the namespace URI http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto instead of the URI that includes the app package name. This URI is replaced with the app specific one at build time.
• Added a feature that allows you to run some code only in debug mode. Builds now generate a class called BuildConfig containing a DEBUG constant that is automatically set according to your build type. You can check the (BuildConfig.DEBUG) constant in your code to run debug-only functions such as outputting debug logs.

The emulator is seeing some big improvements as well:

• Thanks to contributions to AOSP from Intel, the emulator now supports running x86 system images in virtualization mode on Windows and Mac OS X. This allows the emulator running at near native speed. The drivers are available through the SDK Manager. Read more here.
• After adding webcam support and sensor emulation, we are adding experimental support for Multi-Touch input through a tethered Android device. (Read more here)

Finally, we are also releasing an updated Support Library with the following improvements:

• ShareCompat provides easy helper classes for both sending and receiving content for social sharing apps.
• NavUtils and TaskStackBuilder provide cross-version support for implementing the Android Design guidelines for navigating within your app including the action bars "Up" button.
• NotificationCompat.Builder provides a compatibility implementation of Android 3.0s Notification.Builder helper class for creating standardized system notifications.
• A new Library Project adds support for GridLayout back to API level 7 and higher.

US Military Detention policies Hacked and Released by WikiLeaks

The whistleblowing website Wikileaks from tonight releasing more than 100 U.S. Defense Department files detailing military detention policies in camps in Iraq and at Guantanamo Bay in the years after the September 11 attacks on U.S. targets - "The Detainee Policies"


In a statement, WikiLeaks criticized regulations it said had led to abuse and impunity and urged human rights activists to use the documents to research what it called policies of unaccountability. WikiLeaks says it plans to release the files in chronological order to paint a picture of the evolution of America’s military detainee practices.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said: "The ’Detainee Policies’ show the anatomy of the beast that is post-9/11 detention, the carving out of a dark space where law and rights do not apply, where persons can be detained without a trace at the convenience of the U.S. Department of Defense. It shows the excesses of the early days of war against an unknown ’enemy’ and how these policies matured and evolved, ultimately deriving into the permanent state of exception that the United States now finds itself in, a decade later."

In January, U.N. human rights chief Navi Pillay said the United States was still flouting international law at Guantanamo Bay by arbitrarily and indefinitely detaining individuals. Almost 3,000 people were killed in 2001 when militants from Osama bin Ladens al Qaeda flew hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center towers in New York, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. - Reuters said.

WikiLeaks said a number of documents it was releasing related to interrogation of detainees, and these showed direct physical violence was prohibited. But it added the documents showed "a formal policy of terrorizing detainees during interrogations, combined with a policy of destroying interrogation recordings, has led to abuse and impunity."

According to Forbes, WikiLeaks latest publication breaks with its two previous releases of 2012 from the private intelligence firm Stratfor and the Syrian government, both of which consisted of millions of hacked emails rather than a small collection of leaked documents. Just how WikiLeaks obtained the new documents isn’t clear its anonymous submission system has been down for more than two years, with no new conduit for secure document leaks in sight.

Abstract:

In this present era everything is Automized right from home to industrial area. A home automation system integrates electrical devices in a house with each other, as this project better suit for the physically challenged people .In order to do the regular activities without having others help. The most common thing that they need to do are switching ON/ OFF the loads without much human involvement wherever they are required by using user defined voice commands to switch ON/OFF different electrical devices.

The theme of this project is to control different devices by giving voice commands. One such implementation is home Automation using speech Recognition. By giving different commands various appliances can be controlled automatically. If voice command is received successfully by corresponding device an acknowledge will be coming in the form of beep sound from buzzer. In this way activation of buzzer depends on the voice command received by particular device. The project is built around AT89S52 microcontroller .Voice Recognition module is interfaced with microcontroller to drive the load.

This project uses regulated 5V, 1A power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
